Drumming and Dancing the Years Away

I never suspected that one of the things I would regret in my later years is that I gave up drumming. I mean I gave up the snare drum I played in the Albuquerque High School band because I'd won a seat on the school newspaper as sophomore reporter.

Actually, to think about it, I never gave up drumming. I've banged with my fingers on bars in barrooms, tapped my feet under countless restaurant tables, directed eveything from symphonies to dixieland bands sitting at my computer keyboard while music emanates from the two thousand tunes I salvaged when Napset collapsed a few years ago.

Rhythm, rhythm, rhythm. It makes the world go 'round. You don't always need a partner to dance on the living room floor while the music blares forth. Oh, how I would have liked to study tap-dancing. No, not just study it. . .DANCE it.

Rhythm, music, dancing, drumming are lurking somewhere in my head 24-7, as they say nowadays. Put your imagination to work with it You'll never leave show biz. . .
